I would like to take the time to thank Kinky Friedman for allowing me to use his name and likeness in my story. You have influenced me with your mystery novels and I have the deepest respect for you. I want to thank you for your advice and the help you have given me. It takes a truly special person to help a total stranger then allow them access to you for their questions. Your encouragement has meant the world to me and I feel I can not thank you enough. I am amazed at what a wonderful person you are and your tender heart towards animals gives you an endearing quality. One last thing Kinky you are and will always be my Governor. Given em` hell Kinky the State of Texas needs you.
I would like to thank my family and friends that stood behind me and encouraged me to turn that weird dream into the book that it became.
I want to thank my co-workers at Kroger for listening to me rattle on about Kinky and the path the story was taking. Thank you Shelly, Sarah and Natalye for your encouragement and for sharing the excitement of my meeting Kinky with me, you were there to encourage me when my family thought I had lost my mind writing this work of fiction.
I want to thank my daughter Kikki for sharing the love of Kinky’s books with me then reading my book and encouraging me to have it published. Thank you for accompanying me to see Kinky and making sure I didn’t screw up.
I want to thank my daughter in law Elizabeth for giving me The Secret to read. That book pulled me out of that dark hole I was living in and gave me the strength to get away from the negative influence that was holding me down. Thank you for reading my book and sharing the laughter and the tears of my transformation.
I want to thank John Anthony for being my friend, Thank you for your encouragement and that little push you seem to give me. How can I not listen to Da Sarge.
AS WRITTEN BY JUSTIN AND REQUESTED TO ADD
SPECIAL THANKS
I would like to thank my son JUSTIN. You are the greatest and the most awesome amazing person to ever live after my father.
I want to thank him for being there and making me smile, for looking and acting like the greatest man ever (my father).
Because without him I would have never have gone to the hill country.
If I never had gone then I wouldn't have ever wanted to go back.
If I never went back then I would be in a shit hole some were in Spring Texas.
So thank you Justin and Sheena for bringing me to Marble Falls.
Without you I wouldn't have all that I have now
Thank you so much for all that you have done
Thank you Justin you never fail to make me laugh. With a person like you in my life I will always be able to find the humor in everything I see and do

I want to thank Mickey and Domino for sitting at my feet as I sat at the computer and worked away at my book. I'm so glad you didn't run away from home because momma was not giving you all my attention. You two boys are my heart and soul. Thank you for your devotion.
I will miss you boys and I eagerly await the day that we meet up at the
Rainbow Bridge. You both continue to live in my heart and are forever a part of my soul.
