Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Mickey is my best friend and the first Boston Terrier to enter my life. As you can see in this picture he has the Texas attitude. Mickey crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Monday March 3, 2008 leaving a huge hole in my heart. I know Mickey is still with me because I feel his paws on my heart and his warm breath on my soul. I am a better person from having Mickey in my life for thirteen and a half years. He taught me many lessons that I would not have learned if he had not graced my life with his love and devotion. I know in my heart Mickey is running and playing by the Rainbow Bridge no longer suffering from the pain of age. Someday we will meet up there and together we will cross that bridge and into that beautiful countryside where we will bask in the sun, enjoy the breeze and fish along the beautiful spring fed creeks. I love you Mickey and thank you for the love and devotion you gave me. I know I can never measure up to the person you saw through those sweet brown eyes. I am but a human and can never know what it is like to truly love unselfishly and completely for that is reserved for the heart of a pet.

Domino is Mickey's son and my best buddy. Domino was killed by a neighbors dog on April 15, 2008. I am so heart broken to lose both my boys so close together. I will see them at the Rainbow Bridge when it is my time to cross over. I loved you Domino you were my little Monkey.

MATER
Mater was one of the funniest little guys I have known. He loved playing ball and getting into anything he was not supposed to. Mater crossed the Rainbow Bridge on August 3, 2009 leaving a huge hole in my heart and life. I love you may may and I miss you dearly

My life may never be the same now that I have lost these three boys, but I can say that I know what it is like to have three perfect little boys.
I would not change to love and the hurt for anything.
